Every year Cochrane awards members of its Community a range of prizes that highlight high-quality methodological research through to supporting health decision-making in developing countries, and contributors who have made a significant contribution to the organization. Below are details on Cochrane's annual prizes and awards that will be given out at the Colloquium. Click on the links to find out more about key dates and submission criteria.
The Rosamund Snow Prize will enable two people aged under 30, with experience as health service users and an interest in evidence-based medical research, to attend the Colloquium. Rosamund Snow (1971-2017) will be remembered by many for her work to champion patients’ involvement in healthcare. Rosamund’s mother, Mary Snow, has established this prize in Rosamund’s name.

The Thomas C Chalmers Award is awarded to the principal author of the best oral and the best poster presentation addressing methodological issues related to systematic reviews. Submission to this prize closed on the 15 March 2017 alongside the closure of abstract submission for the Colloquium.

The Kenneth Warren Prize is awarded to the principal author of a Cochrane Review authored by a national living in a developing country. The winning Cochrane Review is judged to be both of high methodological quality and relevant to health problems in developing countries.

The Chris Silagy Prize is awarded to an individual who has made an "extraordinary" contribution to the work of Cochrane which would not be recognized outside the scope of this prize.

The Bill Silverman Prize is awarded to acknowledge the value of constructive criticism of Cochrane, to improve our work, thereby helping people make well-informed decisions about health care.

The Anne Anderson Award is awarded to a female member of Cochrane who has made a significant contribution to the enhancement and visibility of women's participation within Cochrane. To register for the Anne Anderson walk, please click here.

The 2018 Cochrane-REWARD Prize will be awarded at the Colloquium this year. The prize highlights both underused "remedies" and the need to invest in research to identify problems and solutions to them This prize gathers, assesses and then publicizes good local or pilot initiatives that have the most potential to reduce waste in research if scaled up globally.
