This session will follow on from the keynote talk 'Arresting Hope: Women Taking Action in Prison Health Inside Out'
We will share some stories that are contained in the books 'Arresting Hope', which is set in a provincial women’s prison in Canada, and ‘Releasing Hope’, which follows women’s journeys following their release from prison. The books describe how creative leadership fostered opportunities for transformation and hope, and how involvement in Community-Based Participatory Health Research contributed to health and healing. We will also highlight some short films that have resulted from this work.
